Four countries are participating in the In-Squads project: Spain, Poland, Serbia, and Denmark.
The objective of this project is to verify a methodology developed by the University of Seville that proposes the integration of minors at risk of social exclusion through the practice of football.
At the Odense meeting, held on July 1 and 2, 2025, the implementation of the pilot phase of the project was discussed. This phase was developed throughout the first half of this year.
The sports and social partners from each country shared their experiences during the pilot phase, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of its implementation.
One of the meeting’s sections focused on assessing the impact on the group of minors targeted by the activity.
The different tools used for this assessment have been reported: questionnaires, pre-post comparison , information provided informally by the children and information from the main agents of change: coaches and family members.
Following a discussion of the results, several agreements were reached on which aspects of the intervention would be maintained or modified, as well as on strategies to address the weaknesses and threats identified in the SWOT analysis.
Aspects such as project quality indicators, their application to activities already undertaken, and the implications and strategies for future quality assurance were also analyzed.
In addition, In-Squads’ dissemination strategies have been addressed, assessing the media, content, and schedule to be implemented.
